About Stephen

From surfing in the ocean along the Treasure Coast, to fishing in area lakes, to raising two children as fourth generation Vero Beach natives, Stephen D. Ryder, Jr. has a deep connection with and love for the area. He was born at the historic Indian River Memorial Hospital and lived in Vero Beach until he moved for a few years to PA where he graduated high school at South Williamsport. After returning home again in Vero, he studied business management at Indian River State College.

Stephen shows dedication to his work and has risen-up the business ranks during his tenure as a metal fabrication foreman along with holding other positions in the construction industry. In 2010, he started Ryder Services offering property maintenance and management services in addition to home remodeling, renovation, custom cabinetry, tile, woodwork and more. In 2017, he became a licensed real estate sales professional.

Stephen has two children – son Cayden, a senior at Vero Beach High who has received many awards for academic excellence and daughter Hazel, a sophomore at Vero Beach High who is also an accomplished student excelling in art. Stephen’s fiancé, Shenai Anglin, and his Catahoula hound dog, Shadow, round out the family.

Stephen has a wide array of interests. He enjoys all types of music and feels that music is a part of life that feeds one’s soul. He has dabbled in playing many different instruments but especially enjoys playing his Rav drum. On another creative note, he has spent time volunteering to help create parade floats. Stephen has taken road trips across the eastern half of the country from South Dakota to Maine and south down into Florida. He is also a nature enthusiast enjoying the outdoors camping and riding his jeep.
