Alex “AMAC” MacWilliam, IV is more than a real estate professional—he’s a true Vero Beach neighbor. A fourth-generation local, AMAC’s family has been helping shape this community since 1919, when his great-grandfather arrived and played a leading role in developing Riomar and later serving 18 years as Mayor of Vero Beach. In 1949, AMAC’s grandfather founded Alex MacWilliam Real Estate, which has grown into one of the area’s most trusted firms.

Today, AMAC and his father, Alex “Buzz” MacWilliam, III, proudly carry on the family legacy as Broker/Owners, leading the company with the same values of integrity, personal connection, and community service. With more than 75 years of proven results, Alex MacWilliam Real Estate is known as a neighborly firm where clients quickly feel like family.

AMAC himself blends professional expertise with a passion for people. A graduate of St. Edward’s School and the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in Marketing, he went on to earn several top industry credentials, including CRB, CRS, ABR®, and GRI designations. He also completed the Indian River Chamber of Commerce Leadership program, furthering his commitment to serving Indian River County’s unique needs.

Community involvement is at the heart of AMAC’s life and business. From serving on local boards like Seacoast National Bank and the REALTORS® Association of Indian River County to supporting organizations such as the Humane Society, the Environmental Learning Center, and Quail Valley Charities, AMAC leads by example. Under his leadership, Alex MacWilliam Real Estate has given back more than $1.5 million and countless volunteer hours, including an annual scholarship program that has supported local students since 2000.

When he isn’t working with clients or serving the community, you’ll likely find AMAC outdoors—on the golf course, hunting, or simply enjoying time with his wife, Kayla, and their son, Alex “Penn” MacWilliam V.
