Alex MacWilliam Real Estate Awards $1,000 Scholarships to Five High School Graduates

Vero Beach, FL Thursday, May 13, 2021– Alex MacWilliam Real Estate is pleased to announce that five local graduating high school seniors have each been awarded $1,000 college scholarships.  I’m proud to say that this is the 22nd year that we have awarded these scholarships ,” declared broker/co-owners Alex “Buzz” MacWilliam, III and son, Alex MacWilliam, IV. Each recipient received their Scholarship Award Certificates at their recent school awards ceremonies.  The criteria for a scholarship requires a minimum 2.8 grade point average, attendance at Indian River County schools for the past three years and a written essay of 1,000 words stating why the applicant deserves the scholarship.  This year’s recipients are:

 Jocelyn M. Hodges of Sebastian River High School will be attending Indian River State College to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and then plans to transfer to the University of Florida to ultimately become a Doctor of Dental Surgery. 

 The following four Vero Beach High School students won scholarships:

Matthew M. Biondi will be attending Florida Atlantic University to obtain a degree in business management and sports knowledge with plans to work with an organization or sports team.

 Alondra Munoz will be Vanderbilt University where she plans on majoring in Health Science and career goal is to work in the emergency room at a Florida hospital.

 William “Liam” Miller will be attending the University of Florida where he plans to major in Biology and go on to become a Research Scientist, Biologist or Biotechnologist.

 Passion L. Williams will be attending the University of North Florida where her major will be Construction Management and her career goal is to become a General Contractor.
