The Garden first opened to the public in 1932, and today spans over 18 acres. Visitors can stroll through winding paths and bridges, and see majestic palms, cycads, rare and endangered plants from around the world. The McKee Botanical Garden is open every day from 10am to 5pm. The McLarty Treasure Museum is a great place to learn about the famous 1715 Spanish treasure fleet shipwrecks. The McLarty Treasure Museum has artifacts from these shipwrecks on display, as well as interactive exhibits about the history of treasure hunting in Florida. Admission to the museum is $5 for adults and $3 for children 6 through 12. It's open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
