3 Paint Transformations Inside of Your Vero Beach Home

Use these paint ideas to transform plain and outdated items and looks inside of your home.

Rainbow Refrigerator

When it comes to refrigerators stainless steel, black, or basic white are common finishes. But if your kitchen cabinets are painted in a vibrant hue, for instance you have white uppers and yellow lowers, your white fridge doesn’t have to be devoid of color. Consider covering it in the same hue as your lower cupboards, but in a different tint or shade. For a whimsical refrigerator think about painting a pattern—perhaps stripes in a rainbow of complementary colors. For both designs simply prime, tape, and paint.

Include your refrigerator in every aspect of your kitchen design by spray-painting the handle to coordinate with the finish of your cabinet knobs or pulls, whether they be brass, matte black, brushed nickel, or another finish.

These design ideas are bold, but then so were your yellow lower cabinets and you ended up loving them.

Fancy Filing Cabinet

If you have a run-of-the-mill filing cabinet in your home office you can transform it into a statement piece by using the cabinet drawers to create a color gradient effect. Pick a paint color that complements or contrasts with your walls and create a different tint for each drawer face, according to the number of drawers in the cabinet, by adding varying amounts of white. You can also use a paint deck to create a color gradient. Prime the face of each drawer and paint, beginning with the darkest color at the bottom and ending with the lightest at the top.

Updated Archway

An arched entryway between rooms can sometimes look dated, but it can easily be updated. Using a paint that complements your décor outline the arch with a thick band of solid color. If the surrounding wall has a flat or eggshell finish, paint your outline using a satin or semi-gloss so that it will stand out. Not only will your painted arch look chic and modern, but it will frame the view into the next room.
