If you're like many people selling a home in Vero Beach, you probably already know that your house needs great curb appeal. Check out these three things you can do to boost your home's curb appeal (and maybe even sell your house faster).
First things first: Your front and back yards should be cleaned up. Put away toys, maintenance equipment, bikes and everything else before you list your home for sale. Buyers want to see a neat space that appears easy to maintain, so your whole yard should be clutter-free. From there, these are three things you can do to boost your home's curb appeal:
Here's a closer look at each.
Spruce up your yard by adding low-maintenance plants that enhance the landscaping. You may consider planting marigolds around your mailbox, adding potted flowers to your porch, or even putting in a few shrubs and bushes beneath your windows. Low-maintenance is the key here; you don't want to create more work for yourself or your buyers!
If you don't have a fire pit or outdoor furniture that extends living space to your yard, now's the time to add it. Even if you don't want to go overboard in the backyard, make your front porch more social by adding a table and chairs, a porch swing, or a bench.
Buyers want to see outdoor living space, and many view it as an extension of the home - and the more usable space there is, the better.
You may not need to repaint your entire house (but if you do, you should talk to your real estate agent, who can refer you to a local professional). You may be able to walk around your home's exterior and look for areas that just need a little TLC.
Check for areas that could use recaulking, shutters that need a fresh coat of paint, and other cosmetic issues.
