About TP

Thomas ("TP") Kennedy is a member of the Kennedy family that settled in Indian River County in 1907.  His ancestors were citrus farmers that moved from Gainesville, Florida to take advantage of more favorable weather conditions for citrus in this coastal area.

As a 4th generation Local Native with a proven track record in the real estate industry, TP Kennedy stands as a prominent and accomplished professional. With proficiency spanning residential, commercial, and land transactions, TP's expertise covers every facet of the real estate spectrum. With a keen understanding of permitting and development processes, TP has been a driving force behind successful property projects.

TP attended St. Edwards School and, thereafter, the University of Florida where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a Minor in Agriculture.  After graduation, he returned to Indian River County and pursued a career in citrus (farming, packinghouse, and citrus export operations) and real estate while engaged in the family's various businesses. While actively involved in the family's real estate and land management activities for most of his career, TP developed hands on experience in simple and complex real estate transactions, construction, and property management.  During this period, he was involved in the development of Old Orchid ($5.4 million) (a 140 lot residential community on the barrier island); the land assembly, preliminary planning and permitting, and sale of Bristol Bay ($30 million) (a 499 unit mixed-use development in Wabasso);  the sale of 2,000 acres of farmland to the City of Port St. Lucie for a water storage project in 2015 for $12 million and, the acquisition, design, re-permitting, construction, property management and financing of Sebastian Inlet Marina ($12 million) (a 265 slip marina in southern Brevard County).  TP was the leader in planning and securing the funding ($5 million) to extend Brevard County’s wastewater line south along US #1 in Micco to connect all homes and businesses to sewer.  This was a partnership between SJRWMD, FDEP and Brevard County.

Married to Shannon O’Leary, their combined family consists of six children ranging in age from ten to twenty years old.  Mikayla and Quinn attend Beachland Elementary School, Ari attends Vero Beach High School, Merrit and Thomas attend St. Edward’s Upper School, and Jasmine currently attends Indian River State College studying  biology to ultimately be in some area of the medical profession.

An amazing downhill skier, runner, an avid boater and diver, and an exceptional chef, TP loves spending time traveling to the Bahamas and abroad with the family and has had the pleasure of globetrotting when he worked for the citrus industry.  In addition to being a sponsor and supporter of The American Cancer Society, The Crossover Mission, and Lines in the Lagoon, he is a member of Calvary Chapel, Vero Beach Country Club and the Moorings Yacht and Country Club where he enjoys socializing with friends and entertaining family and guests.

Throughout his career, TP has been an active member of the Indian River, St. Lucie, and Brevard County business communities.  He is a past President and Chairman of the Indian River Citrus League; a past Director of the Orange Growers Marketing Association (a division of Florida Natural).  He has been involved in the Marine Industry Association of the Treasure Coast, and the Brevard County Marine Advisory Council.

Year after year, TP remains a top-performing agent, consistently delivering exceptional results to his clients. The impressive achievement of over 100 million dollars in sales over the last 3 years is a testament to TP's dedication and mastery in the field. Beyond the numbers, TP's commitment to client satisfaction and industry knowledge makes every interaction a rewarding experience. Whether you're looking to buy, sell, or develop, TP Kennedy's four generations of local knowledge and expertise coupled with his unparalleled skills and accomplishments make him the ideal partner for your real estate journey.
