John G. Pate
John G. Pate has won recognition for sales excellence during his 20 years as a Vero Beach Realtor. But, other than his reputation for professionalism and personal honesty, he believes his most important asset is a “can do” attitude. “Think you can or think you can’t, in either way, you’re right,” sums it up in plain spoken words of auto pioneer Henry Ford. John was born at home on a Texas ranch more than a mile from the nearest neighbor.
After graduating from the University of Houston he worked as a general assignments reporter for the Houston Post.
Later, as the owner of an advertising agency, his clients included major home building firms. Regardless of the “hat” he has worn in his previous careers, his philosophy is to treat each client as his “one and only.”
In 1993, John and his wife Angela, moved to Vero Beach from Dallas, where they had owned a business marketing arts and antiques to interior design and architectural firms. As a Vero Beach resident, he has enjoyed both the unspoiled beauty of the area and the many cultural activities which he believes are well worth working to preserve. As a result, he has served as president of the Friends of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra. Both John and his wife are supporters of the Vero Beach Museum of the Arts. As a strong believer in the importance of developing both his leadership and public speaking skills, he now serves as president of the Beachsiders Club, a local chapter of Toastmasters International.
He and his wife Angela, who is a specialist in staging, interior decorating and renovation, work together as The Pate Team.
John Stringer has been in the arts for his entire career, well over 35 years. He is the President of the highly regarded J.M. Stringer Gallery of Fine Art, for the last 15 years located in Bernardsville, NJ and for the past four years on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach. Over that time, John has helped transform his clients’ homes from just a house into a haven of beauty, culture and refinement.
In his words:
When I discovered Vero Beach after searching in other parts of Florida, I said “I found my place”. You know when a community suits you, and for me Vero Beach was exactly the type of place I could call home. It appeals to people with an “artful eye” because it is special, naturally beautiful, quietly sophisticated and genuinely friendly.
It was seven years ago when after my very first visit to Vero that I purchased my home. I have never regretted that decision once. Since that time, I have come to treasure this “Village by the Sea” more and more and feel blessed to live here.
So many of my friends, clients and colleagues have visited and quickly see what makes Vero special. Not surprisingly, many have ultimately purchased homes here as well. Encouraged by many of those friends, I decided to become a Realtor so I can help more people to become part of this exceptional community and find their own slice of paradise.
After buying and selling many homes myself over the years, I am very aware that for many the process of buying and or selling real estate can be a daunting experience. My goal is to make it as stress free as possible, guiding my clients throughout the process and conclude the transaction in the most professionally pleasing manner.
My goal is to offer full service relocation services. Finding the perfect home is of course first and foremost. Identifying ones needs is crucial. For some, a grand home by the sea or river is the right type of property. However for most, it’s finding that perfect little jewel of a property. Or for some looking for a project, it may be finding that gem in the rough that has incredible potential. Whatever is the ideal fit, I’m committed to finding you the perfect home.
Once a property is purchased, if requested, I am happy to help with design services and to be a guide in finding reliable tradesmen as well as sourcing the best of Vero Beach vendors and beyond so my clients may properly outfit and furnish their homes to reflect their own personal style.
I look forward to meeting you and learning how I may be of assistance to you. Welcome to an exciting time in your life and to discovering the magic of Vero Beach.
