About Mike

A fourth-generation resident of Indian River County, Michael Sexton grew up on his family's

Treasure Hammock Ranch, west of Vero Beach where he lives and works as a foreman. His great grandfather, Waldo Sexton, was one of the first REALTORS in town and a founding member of the Indian River Realtors Association. From citrus growing and packing to raising cattle, Michael's family has been active in Florida agriculture for over a century.

A third-generation Florida Gator, Mike graduated from the University of Florida with a BS degree in Beef Cattle Science following a three-month summer internship at the Padlock Ranch in Ranchester, Wyoming. He has divided his time, after returning home, between day-working cattle, building agricultural structures (barns, pump houses, and storage facilities), and managing his own cattle lease with a partner. His agricultural roots run long and deep, fostering in him working knowledge of agricultural operations and lands in this region.

Personable and friendly, hard work comes naturally to Mike. He is Secretary of the Indian River County Cattlemen's Association, a director on the local Farm Bureau board, and director and chairman of the Local Tri-County (Indian River, Martin, and St. Lucie County) Farm Service Agency Board and has many friends and connections in local agricultural organizations.

Mike’s real estate focus will be listing and selling citrus, vegetable, cattle or other livestock farms and ranch lands, vacant land, and rural gentlemen’s retreats in the Tri-County areas of Indian River, St. Lucie and Okeechobee. Having a winning work ethic, strong agricultural ancestry and genuine charm, Mike looks forward to helping folks buy or sell their property.
