AMIE ALEXANDER, RealtorŪ
Amie was born in Thailand. Her father is Laotian and her mother is Thai. Her father was a military figure fighting against the communists and much of our early years found them moving from place to place and often hiding from the communists. At the conclusion of the Vietnam War, it was no longer safe to stay in Laos so her family was forced to move back to Thailand and lived there in a refugee camp for 3 years before being sponsored by a church in Elgin II, for immigration as political refugees. In 1978, at the age of 13, her family consisting of her mom and dad and 6 siblings, was fortunate enough to call Elgin II home for 5 years. Amie has been married since 1995 and now has 2 beautiful children. Lindsay is 10 years and attends 4th grade at Rosewood Magnet School. Wesley is 7 and is in 2nd grade. They are members of First United Methodist. Amie's husband Frank E Alexander Jr. owns and operated an Allstate Insurance Agency here in Vero in the Miracle Mile Plaza. Amie and her husband have worked side by side together for 15 years in the insurance business and she is also a licensed insurance agent. They have built the insurance agency largely through referrals and word of mouth. After 15 years of working together they have decided to diversify and she is now pursuing a new career as a Realtor in Vero Beach Florida. It has been a life long dream of Amie's to become a Realtor, however, Frank and her still consult often with each other about their various industries and gain valuable insight that they both find beneficial about the other's industry. Thank you for your time in getting to know her. If Amie can help you in anyway, or if you know of someone buying or selling a home or property that could use her help, please give them Amie's name. DEBRA BANKS, RealtorŪ
How lucky am I to be selling real estate in Vero Beach, Florida! I love the diversity of selling properties in our gated golf course & tennis communities, ocean beach condos, as well as homes in both the island and mainland. My husband and I have been coming down to Vero Beach for the past 16 years, and have seen first hand, this stunningly beautiful little town, blossom into the most desirable place to live in Florida. My experiences living in Toronto, Vancouver and San Francisco allow me to assure my real estate buyers that investing in Vero Beach is not only an excellent business decision, but they are also choosing one of the most desirable locations in North America in which to spend all or part of their time. As a "Baby Boomer" who was ready to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind, Vero Beach is truly an oasis. The Vero Beach real estate market continues to strengthen and low density growth is on the rise. It is truly exiting to be introducing this picturesque ocean town to newcomers and assisting them in their dream home search! I am married to a golf & hockey nut, have four grown children and two grandchildren. When not working, my husband and I enjoy boating, fishing, golf, shopping and travel. I love this dynamic business, especially the thrill of negotiating the best real estate deal possible for my clients. I look forward to assisting you with your home purchase here in Vero Beach, FLorida on the Treasure Coast. Visit my website at: www.realestate-verobeach.com |

RANDY BLAKELOCK, Sales Associate, GRI
A transplant from the Washington DC area to Vero Beach, Randy brings a rich blend of business and military experience to his real estate clients. Randy describes his approach to the business this way ..."some time ago, one of the leaders at Northrop Grumman Corporation was asked what the company's most important product was to which he replied, 'most people think we are in the business of building planes, ships, electronic systems and the like, but the key to our success is fostering solid relationships with our customers. That is our most important product'." Randy understood the importance of that statement then and finds that it applies even more so today -be it a first time or luxury home buyer or seasoned investor. Randy prepared for his Vero Beach real estate career initially by serving in a variety of leadership positions during his 20 year military career in the rank of lieutenant Colonel. At Northrop Grumman he held both senior managerial and staff positions including overseeing integration of the corporate "Enterprise Excellence/Six Sigma/LEAN" business initiative into the Mission Systems business sector. Always interested in real estate, about a year after moving to Vero Beach, he decided to pursue it as a new business endeavor. He joined Palm Pointe Realty as a sales associate and moved to Alex MacWilliam under the merger of Palm Pointe. Randy received a B.S. degree from the Air Force Academy and a M.S. degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He resides in Vero Beach with his wife Nan on their modest ranch with their dogs and horses.

DOROTHY HUDSON, REALTORŪ,
DOROTHY HUDSON brings a unique perspective to Alex MacWilliam, Inc. Real Estate. She was born of New England parents in Coral Gables, Florida and will tell you that the combination of north meeting south made her "a different kind of kid--a Yankee brought up in South Florida." Hudson, Chartered, a law firm specializing in real estate and commercial transactions, where she handed thousands of real estate closings along with a wide variety of development issues. And thirdly, after twenty years of owning her real estate law business, she feels that the challenge of being a real estate agent now suits her. STUART KENNEDY, Broker Associate, GRI
"We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak" so said the Greek Philosopher, Epictetus, around 55AD If you're buying property Do you want a Realtor to tell you what you should buy. What you should not buy. What you need. Or, do you want to work with someone who listens to what you're saying. What you're thinking. What your priorities are. What your ideas are. What motivates you. If you're selling property Do you want your Realtor to just say "yes" to everything. Or do you want to be involved with someone who understands how the market works. Understands the process of selling. Can give you a good guide to pricing. Can help make your house more sellable. Can give you real supportive help through the process. I've been in the "people" business all my life. Caring for people. Managing people. Supporting people. Helping them work to timetables and deadlines. Looking after the finer details of business. Negotiating with others. Making sure things go smoothly. I've worked in large corporations. I've run my own company for 18 years. I understand how business works. I'm originally from London, England and, with my American wife Kitty, moved to Vero Beach in 2002. We love it here. We're both actively involved in the community. It's the best place in the world. If you need support in any Real Estate business, I'm your man. Just give me a ring and find out why so many others have been appreciative of my help. |

Previously, Vero has been reported as "the Best Small Town in Florida." Indian River County and Vero Beach are uniquely located just on the edge of the tropics without the congestion of south Florida. Jim and his wife, Janet, raised two children in Vero Beach from pre-school forward. Both attended Beachland Elementary (public) and the private Saint Edwards School, providing them with a good foundation for success in college and beyond.
